Chestnut-sided Warbler

The Chestnut-sided Warbler is a rare breeder in the Chicago Wilderness Region. Breeding habitat includes forest edges and open forests with dense understory. This species' song may be frequently confused with other more common warbler species and go undetected. Although this species is rarely encountered on the BCN Survey, trends suggest a significant decline. Photo: © Jerry Kumery
