Point Count Forms

These forms can be used during breeding season point count surveys and contain only lists of birds expected to be seen during the breeding season in NE Illinois and surrounding areas in WI and IN.

• 9 Points Form (standard columns) - best for sites with fewer than 9 points. This form has wider columns with more room for tallying species totals.
• 12 Points Form (narrow columns) - alternative for sites with more than 12 points. This form has very little tally room but saves on the amount of paper you have to print and carry.

Transect & General Count Forms

• Breeding Season (breeding birds only) - This form contains a list of only species that breed regularly in NE Illinois and surrounding areas in Wisconsin and Indiana.
• Non-Breeding Season (all expected birds) - This form contains a list of all birds that are typically seen in any given year in NE Illinois and surrounding areas in WI and IN.
