____ DUPAGE COUNTY __________________________________

At Springbrook Praire on Friday, February 21, two EASTERN PHOEBES were
seen south of the model airplane field.  A NORTHERN HARRIER has also
been seen regularly.

A CHIPPING SPARROW was seen in a backyard in Naperville on February 23.

On February 23 at Herrick Lake, a HERMIT THRUSH and a NORTHERN HARRIER
were seen on the south end of the preserve.

Recent sightings from the Yard in Downers Grove include SHARP-SHINNED
HAWK and AMERICAN WIGEON.

RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS are beginning to return and have been seen in
small numbers at West Chicago Prairie.

____ KANE COUNTY _____________________________________

Ducks seen this weekend along the Fox River between Batavia and St.
Charles include COMMON GOLDENEYE, COMMON MERGANSERS, two RING-NECKED
DUCKS, two AMERICAN BLACK DUCKS, one WOOD DUCK, one BUFFLEHEAD, and one
AMERICAN COOT.  

Three SNOW GEESE were also seen on the Fox River near Blackhawk Forest
Preserve on February 23rd.

____ FERMILAB SIGHTINGS _______________________________

NOTE: FermiLab is once again closed to the public including pedestrians
and bicyclists, unless they have a visitor's pass.

Seven MUTE SWANS were seen on the Main Ring Lake on February 21 along
with GADWALLS, COMMON MERGANSERS, COMMON GOLDENEYE, and BLACK DUCKS.
