____ DUPAGE COUNTY __________________________________

I've gotten a late report that the HERMIT WARBLER was seen again at the
Morton Arboretum on February 2nd in the same general area south-west of
parking lot 2.

On February 16th at Winfield Mounds, a NORTHERN HARRIER was seen.

At Greene Valley on February 15th, a ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK was seen flying
over the preserve.

A FOX SPARROW has been seen regularly in a backyard in Elmhurst.

FOX SPARROWS, occassionally as many as four, have also been seen
frequently in a backyard in Wayne.

____ KANE COUNTY _____________________________________

A BALD EAGLE was seen near the Main Street bridge along the Fox River
in Carpentersville on February 19th.

On February 19th a CAROLINA WREN was seen along the Fox River near
Duncan Road in Elgin.

____ FERMILAB SIGHTINGS _______________________________

NOTE: FermiLab is once again closed to the public including pedestrians
and bicyclists, unless they have a visitor's pass.

A female RUDDY SHELDUCK was seen on the Main Ring Lake on February
19th.    The origin of this bird is unknown, but it is likely an
escapee.

Large numbers of COMMON MERGANSERS and COMMON GOLDENEYE have been seen
recently on the Main Ring Lake.  AMERICAN BLACK DUCKS have also been
seen in smaller numbers

Other highlights at FermiLab include a NORTHERN HARRIER and a WILSON'S
SNIPE.
