____ DUPAGE COUNTY __________________________________

The HERMIT WARBLER was seen again at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle on
Sunday, January 12th around mid day.  The bird has been seen in an area
south and west of the Four Pillars (Walk south and west from P-2) A map
of the area where the bird is being seen can be found at the link

A RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH was also heard near P-23 at the Morton
Arboretum on January 12th.

At Greene Valley on Sunday, January 12th, the NORTHERN SHRIKE was seen
again near the entrance on 79th Street.

As many as 35 YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS continue to be seen at Elsen's
Hill.   Other sightings include a CHIPPING SPARROW, two RED-BREASTED
NUTHATHCES, a BELTED KINGFISHER, and other common birds.  I also have a
second hand report of a flock of 20 to 30! ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAKS at
West DuPage Woods (awaiting confirmation).

COMMON GRACKLES, RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS, SWAMP SPARROWS, SONG SPARROWS,
and GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLETS have been reported at multiple locations in
DuPage County.

____ KANE COUNTY _____________________________________

The RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD was last reported in a backyard in Elgin on
January 4th.  Please e-mail the hotline if you would like directions. 
If  you see the bird please e-mail the hotline and leave a message.

A BALD EAGLE was seen flying along the Fox River in Elgin on January
7th.  A BALD EAGLE was also seen on Saturday, January 11th flying north
along the Fox River in St. Charles.
