On May 19th at the Morton Arboretum, an orange scarlet tanager was seen
at the visitor’s center. Also seen was a Wilson’s warbler.
On May 20th at a backyard in Glen Ellyn, a Cape May warbler was seen
along with a turkey vulture.
At the Arboretum on May 20th, yellow-throated, black-throated blue and
Wilson’s warblers were seen along with several scarlet tanagers (one of
which was the orange variant), a summer tanager and yellow-bellied
flycatcher.
At Wood Ridge Forest Preserve on May 21st, 2 bank swallows were seen
along with a western kingbird. The kingbird was seen in the meadow
overlooking the retention pond in the northeast corner of the preserve.
