This is the DuPage Birding Club Hotline for Monday, March 12th, 2001 at 10:00pm. The last update was on March 5th.
Highlight birds included in this report are:
TUNDRA SWANS GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE SNOW GEESE BALD EAGLES ROSS'S GEESE HOODED MERGANSERS THAYER'S GULL SHORT-EARED OWL
Here are the reports:
One or two TUNDRA SWANS continued to be seen at Fermilab through Sunday. GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE are also being seen inside the ring and at the Buffalo Wallow. SNOW GEESE were seen on Friday. A BALD EAGLE, a ROSS'S GOOSE, HOODED MERGANSERS and lots of other ducks are being seen at Fermilab on Sunday as well. Another ROSS'S GOOSE was seen on Casey's Pond on Tuesday.
Probably the same ROSS'S GOOSE and a THAYER'S GULL were seen at McKee on Sunday.
A BALD EAGLE was seen at Pottawatomi Park in St. Charles on Friday.
A SHORT-EARED OWL was seen at Songbird Slough on Saturday morning.

The next field trip will be on Sunday, March 18 at 8:00am at Fermilab. Meet at the Red Barn just south of the first stop sign west of the Batavia Rd. entrance.
