This is the DuPage Birding Club Hotline for Monday February 26, 2001 at 9pm. The last update was on February 22nd.

Highlight birds included in this report are:

ROSS'S GEESE GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE SNOW GOOSE HOODED MERGANSERS BALD EAGLES

Here are the reports:

On Monday, a flock of about 10 ROSS'S GEESE and a similar number of GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE were resting by a patch of open water on Main Ring Lake at Fermilab. A SNOW GOOSE was seen on Thursday on Casey's Pond.

A pair of HOODED MERGANSERS were seen on Powis Road in West Chicago on Monday.

Two BALD EAGLES were seen on Sunday near Waterfall Glen.

The next meeting of the DuPage Birding Club will be on Thursday, March 8. This will be on annual auction - visitors are welcome. The book sale starts at 6:30pm and the auction starts at 7:00pm. Please bring any last minute donations by 6:30pm.
