This is the DuPage Birding Club Hotline for Saturday, February
19, 2000 at 7am.

__DUPAGE COUNTY_______________________________________________

REDPOLLS are being seen at The Yard in Downers Grove along with
PINE SISKINS and HERMIT THRUSHES.  The last report is from
Wednesday afternoon.  REDPOLLS were also seen at the Other Yard
in Downers Grove on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, a NORTHERN SHRIKE was sitting in a tree top along
Westgate Road at Waterfall Glen.  It was just east of where the
road crosses the marsh.

RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS are back with the first report coming from
Monday.

__FERMILAB____________________________________________________

On Tuesday, BREWER'S BLACKBIRDS still at the Buffalo Feeders at
Fermilab.  A PEREGRINE was at Casey's Pond.  A MEADOWLARK was
found in the northwest section of the lab along Wilson Road and
HORNED LARKS were still around.

__COMING EVENTS_______________________________________________

Upcoming Field Trips

Saturday, March 25, 2000 at 8:00am.  Peter Kasper will lead us on
a trip to his favorite waterfowl site in DuPage County. Meet at
the Red Barn just south of the first stop sign west of the
Batavia Rd. entrance at 8:00 am. Peter can be reached at (630)
879-0837 or kasper@FNAL.gov.

Next Meeting

The next meeting of the DuPage Birding Club will be on March 9th.
This will be our annual auction.

The meeting location is Faith Lutheran Church at 41 N. Park
Boulevard in Glen Ellyn.  Social time begins at 7:00pm with the
program starting at 7:30pm.  To get to the meeting, take
Roosevelt Road to Park Boulevard in Glen Ellyn.  Go north on Park
Boulevard for 2 blocks and you will see the church on the east
side of the street.  The parking lot and entrance are in the
rear.  The meeting is in the church hall on the lower level.
