From DuPage County:
Lots of SANDHILL CRANES flew over Kane and DuPage County on Monday. In particular, I had a report of at least 400 flying over West Chicago. The earliest report of Sandhills was on Saturday in Downers Grove. A flock was seen near Pratt's Wayne on Sunday.
At Fermilab - A ROSS'S GOOSE was seen on Swan Lake this morning. 50 SNOW GEESE, 4 REDHEADS and 25 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE were seen in the inner ring lake on Sunday. RUSTY BLACKBIRDS, KILLDEER and GRACKLES were also seen. A TUNDRA SWAN was seen on the 25th but was not relocated later in the day.
At Lincoln Marsh - a WOOD DUCK was found on Monday.
At McKee Marsh - a MEADOWLARK was found on Monday.
At Springbrook Prairie - several KILLDEER were seen on Sunday along with COMMON MERGANSERS, EASTERN MEADOWLARK and 2 WOOD DUCKS. Larger quantities of RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS, GRACKLES and KESTRELS were also around.
At Songbird Slough - a PINTAIL and a male HOODED MERGANSER were seen on Tuesday.
At Fullerton Park - a WIDGEON was seen last weekend.
At Maple Grove - TUFTED TITMICE were found in the northeast corner of the park on Saturday.
A HARRIER was seen in Downers Grove on Saturday.

To get to Swan Lake, enter Fermilab from the west side Pine Street entrance. Continue for 0.9 mile. Swan Lake is the large lake northwest of the highrise. (P-4)
To get to Maple Grove Forest Preserve, located in Downers Grove, take Interstate 355 to Maple Avenue. Go east until you see the entrance on the north side of the street. The trail leads north from the parking lot. (Q-8)
Songbird Slough (also known as Campbell Slough) is located near Itasca on Mill Road 1.4 miles north of Route 20. (M-8)
