From DuPage County:
At Pratt's Wayne - on the 13th, SHORT-EARED OWLS, a HARRIER and a ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK were seen.
At Arboretum - last Saturday, a PURPLE FINCH was found at the Visitor Center feeder. A YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER was found on Pine Hill. 2 BROWN CREEPERS were by the parking lot on Hemlock Hill. An OREGON RACE DARK-EYED JUNCO was found at the Visitor Center feeder on Sunday.
At Hidden Lake - 2 BLACK DUCKS, a pair of GREEN-WINGED TEAL and a RED-WINGED BLACKBIRD were found last Saturday. On Sunday, 3 MUTE SWANS flew over.
At Mallard Lake - last Saturday, a first year totally white GLAUCOUS GULL was found.
At Songbird Slough - a NORTHERN SHRIKE was found west of the shelter on Friday morning. Begin keeping an eye out when you pass the second parking lot.
At Waterfall Glen - GOLDEN CROWNED KINGLETS and a CAROLINA WREN were found off the Bluff Road entrance on Friday morning.
From Kane County:
In South Elgin - a GLAUCOUS GULL was seen last week along the river by the Trolley Museum. A BALD EAGLE was also seen in this location. At the Kenyon Farm, 24 RUSTY BLACKBIRDS and HORNED LARKS were found last weekend. The horned larks were found in a recently manured field.
From Will County:
SNOW BUNTINGS, LAPLAND LONGSPURS and HORNED LARKS were found last weekend along the roads in Will County south of Naperville.
