Here are the upcoming field trips of the DuPage Birding Club:

Sunday, January 28. Join Kate and Jim Frazier as they attack the Chicago lakefront in search of gulls, Oldsquaw, scoters and other unusual ducks. We'll meet at Montrose Harbor at 8AM although this is subject to change based on the latest conditions, both weather and birdwise. Please listen to the hotline again before you depart for the field trip. If you can carpool, please do so since we'll probably hit some other spots and the fewer cars, the better.

Saturday, February 3. A special field trip for young birders will be led by Denis Kania at Fermilab. All participants must be accompanied by at least one person under the age of 16. Possible species include Red-tailed and Rough-legged Hawks, Northern Harrier, Great Horned Owl, Long-eared Owl, and other winter migrants and residents. Meet at 9AM at the red barn. To access the Lab from the west side, take Kirk Road to the Pine Street entrance. Obtain a day pass at the guard station and continue east on Pine Street, crossing Eola Road. Turn right at the next stop sign and the red barn will be straight ahead. For further information, please call Denis Kania at 708-961-5364. Kids, don't forget to bring those parents!

The next meeting of the DuPage Birding Club will be on March 14.

The ever-popular DBC annual auction will be held on that date. More details will follow as we approach that date.

Social time starts at 7PM and the meeting convenes at 7:30PM. The location is the Faith Lutheran Church at 41 N. Park Boulevard in Glen Ellyn.

To get to the meeting at Faith Lutheran Church, take Roosevelt Road to Park Boulevard in Glen Ellyn. Go north on Park Boulevard for 2 blocks and you will see the church on the east side of the street. The parking lot and entrance are in the rear.
