These two White-Winged Scoters showed up at Nelson Lake Marsh, Dick Young F.P. in November of 2004 on a day with strong north-east winds.  Winds from this direction are known to blow birds inland - birds that would otherwise be migrating out over the middle of Lake Michigan.
