This probable Rufous Hummingbird appeared at a yard in Elgin where hummingbird feeders and flowers were abundant.  It visited the feeders regularly, but sporadically, during the day.  A harsh cold front came through in early January freezing the sugar water in the feeders even one underneath a heat lamp.  The bird was last seen on January 9th.
