JARVIS
SANCTUARY AND MONTROSE POINT
Jarvis
Sanctuary had a workday on December 7th, cutting brush and planting
seed. We were hoping to put a lot of seed in the area immediately outside of
the fence, depending on availability. We may not get that seed until next
spring. 83 more shrubs went in on September 14th, and September 28th was a
maintenance workday, primarily for the mulch path along the fence. Next spring
will see some replacement of trees and shrubs that the district had installed
that haven't done well and are under warranty.
The same thing will happen at Montrose. Additionally, a long term management
plan will probably be written for Montrose. We'll be looking at having several
workdays at Montrose next spring and summer, perhaps doing more extensive
planting in certain small areas. Additional seeding will also be done there.
Signs for Montrose and Jarvis are still in process, but should be done in the
next few months.
